Last year, thanks in part to donations from a handful of our very supportive, philanthropic customers, we donated over $850 of fresh food via our Food Donation Program in its very first year. That’s 430 lbs to be exact – including tomatoes, cukes, sweet peppers, beans, squash, etc. – all grown right here at Hobbs Farm! Donations went to local food banks in NH and MA. The impact was by far one of the most rewarding experiences of the year for our farm team. So much so, that for 2022 they set the goal even higher!
With a mission of donating $1k worth of food for 2022, we doubled that goal, donating over $2k in freshly grown produce to local food banks, with our primary recipient being The Movement Family in Lawrence in support of their weekly dinners, as well as the Newmarket Community Church.
So…this year, we are asking for your help to raise the bar and see if we can donate a minimum of $2k once again.
Every donor to our Food Bank Program (whether that’s you or a person of your choosing) receives a thank you card signed by our farmers noting the donation and that 100% of the donation will go towards providing freshly grown produce to our designated charities.
