All Spruced Up - Pine, citrus, and holiday nostalgia all wrapped up in one hazy pour.
When we sat down to figure out what beers to make for the holiday season, Annette really, really wanted to craft a pale ale using fresh spruce tips. In the spirit of full disclosure, I thought it was a fun idea, but I wasn’t overly jazzed about the concept… until I tasted the finish product. Now, all I have to say is ‘WOW’! I truly think this is one of the most fun beers we have made to date, AND it perfectly captures the holiday season with its piney / fresh Christmas tree aromas.
We are absolutely delighted to introduce “All Spruced Up”, a 5.7% ABV Pale Ale crafted with fresh spruce tips and 100% local malt (from both Valley Malt and Blue Ox Malthouse), resulting in a super fun drinking, crisp brew that is pure nostalgia in a glass – it truly evokes fond memories of walking through the woods with our family to cut down a Christmas tree. Hazy orange in color, with a thick, creamy white head, All Spruced Up drinks more like an IPA than a Pale Ale, with a full body and big piney, citrus, and grapefruit notes from the use of the spruce tips plus Columbus, Chinook, and Centennial hops. If you are an IPA drinker, you are going to love this beer, especially the lovely, lingering piney-ness that results after every sip.
All Spruced Up will be released on Saturday November 15th, on both draft and in cans to go.
We can’t wait for you to try it!
