The grass was greener after all.
Our 15th birthday is coming up on July 3rd, and we are celebrating with FOUR brand new beers, including this one – Astro Turf Party- a 5.7% Passionfruit New Zealand Pale Ale.
Our very first home had Astro Turf. It wasn’t fancy, but it had personality – much like this beer. Fifteen years later, we’re still throwing the party!
Pouring a hazy sunshine yellow with a bright white head, Astro Turf Party bursts with notes of passionfruit, white grape, and citrus, courtesy of a generous dose of Nelson Sauvin hops. A touch of Saaz adds a crisp, refreshing character, while El Dorado lends subtle layers of tropical fruit. Light-bodied and easy-drinking, this beer balances tangy passionfruit flavors with a clean finish and just enough bitterness to keep things lively. Bright, playful, and endlessly crushable, we are loving this summer easy drinking New Zealand Pale!
Fifteen years later, the Astro Turf may be gone, but the party’s still going strong!
Hop nerd notes -> This beer was mash-hopped with Cascade and Saaz to help release release bound thiols. It was bittered with El Dorado, then heavily hopped in kettle and dry-hopped with Nelson Sauvin, bringing its characteristic flavors of Sauvignon Blanc, passion fruit, lychee, and gooseberry.
Astro Turf Party will be available starting Wednesday, July 3rd in cans and on draft.
