As former women’s rugby players turned brewery owners, we absolutely had to brew a beer for the upcoming Women’s Rugby World Cup. And when it came to inspiration, there was no contest — we had to honor the one and only Ilona Maher. So what better way to celebrate this absolute Try Queen than with a New England IPA? Introducing Big Ruck Energy — a bold, unfiltered NEIPA packed with tropical fruit, bright grapefruit, and zesty citrus (think fresh orange). It’s juicy, hazy, and full of swagger — just like the woman who inspired it. Here are a few additional tasting notes:
Color: Deep gold with a slight orange hue, hazy with a fluffy white head that leaves a beautiful lacing on the glass as you drink the beer
Aromas: sweet & ripe pineapple, touch of melon, orange sherbet, and some piney dankness
Flavors: pineapple, lime zest, with hints of orange sherbet and melon liqueur, finishing with a nice grapefruit pith bitterness
