Some beers make us downright giddy as they fit right into the wheelhouse of what our palates love, namely chocolate-covered berries and flavors of coffee and fresh jam. This is the absolutely the case with our brand new 8.7% ABV Blackberry Brandy Barrel-Aged Belgian Stout with Currants. We can’t get enough of it!
This beer is a super smooth, fruit-forward stout with a vibrant dark berry nose and flavors of chocolate-covered blackberries, blueberry pie, plums, coffee roast, and juicy red currants, finishing with a mildly sweet berry jammy tang and a touch of alcohol warmth that warms the throat.
This beer started it’s life as Keep It Currant – a 7.2% ABV Belgian Stout brewed with Currants. We then aged it in a Blackberry Brandy barrel for a better part of the year before deeming it ready.
