Cardinal's Crest - a little tart, a little spice, and all holiday nice.
When we think of holiday flavors, cranberry always jumps to the top of the list. Tart, tangy, bright, fruity — cranberries make a wonderful, flavorful addition to beer, and the gorgeous light ruby-orange color doesn’t hurt either! So when we started planning our 2025 Holiday Brews, cranberry naturally made the short list. Brewer Adam suggested layering cranberries with a touch of holiday spice on a crisp lager base. It sounded amazing to us, and we’re thrilled to say the result is even better than we imagined — the epitome of holiday refreshment in a glass.
Introducing Cardinal’s Crest, our brand-new 6% ABV Cranberry Spiced Lager. This pinkish-orange beauty gleams like your favorite Christmas ornament and tastes like cheerful, festive fun. Brewed with local rye for a silky body and gentle spice, it’s layered with cranberry tartness, bright orange peel, and warming mulling spices — ginger, coriander, allspice, clove, and cardamom. Crisp, slightly tart, and dangerously drinkable, it has an aroma of spiced cranberry chutney and a finish that lingers with just the right touch of clove and allspice. If you are like us, before you know it, your glass might be empty — and you’ll be reaching for another!
