Just over a year ago, my co-founder Annette finally gave in to my relentless campaign to brew a BIG pumpkin ale 😄. The result was The Great Big Pumpkin Ale —a smooth, strong, soul-warming 9.6% barleywine featuring roasted local pumpkin and a subtle symphony of cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, clove, and allspice. I loved that beer so much that I honestly didn’t think it could get any better… until I tried Squashbuckler—our Apple Brandy Barrel-Aged version of The Great Big Pumpkin Ale!

Squashbuckler bursts with the aroma of boozy apple pie and layers of flavor that call to mind caramel apples drizzled with brown sugar, a hint of oak, and warm baking spices like cinnamon and nutmeg. It’s full-bodied, rich, and velvety smooth—the very definition of autumn in a glass. And it’s a stunner, too: glowing amber in color with a thick, creamy off-white head.

We’re thrilled to release Squashbuckler (on draft and in bottles to go) this Saturday, October 18th. Hope to see you here for a taste of fall done the Throwback way!
