About 10 years ago, we decided to professionally brew a beer that we had been homebrewing for many years. The beer – called Apple Betty Brown Porter – was a crisp, tart porter made with local apples and a touch of cinnamon. We really loved this beer, so, when we started dreaming about the beers we want to enjoy with friends and family during the 2024 holiday season, we decided it was high time for Apple Betty to make a comeback! As such, mark your calendars for Black Friday (Nov 29th) (2-9pm) when we will release SIX new beers, including the 2024 version of Apple Betty!

Apple Betty is an ultra smooth porter brewed with fresh apples and a hint of cinnamon, resulting in a dark, roasty, chocolatey brew with the slightest touch of cinnamon and a subtle tangy tart apple finish. The apple becomes more pronounced as the beer warms up, but the fruit mostly comes through as a lingering crisp apple tartness that makes this beer really fun to drink! Here are a few more tasting notes:

–Appearance – jet black in color with a light coffee-colored head

–Aroma – sweet roasty, chocolate-y malt

–Flavor – a moderate chocolate roastiness with undertones of nutty, toasty caramel transition to a tart jammyness from the apples.

–Mouthfeel – smooth and relatively light bodied for a porter

Starting November 29th, Apple Betty will be available on draft and in cans and growlers to go.
