It’s one of our favorite times of year — Halloween! To celebrate, we decided to expand our usual Halloween happenings to include carnival games for the kids, live music, plus a raffle for two tickets to our just about sold out Harvest Dinner on November 9th. Of course, we’ll also have a costume contest for the kids, limited edition beers, and, to go along with the games, carnival-inspired food specials from our Chef Carrie.
Limited Release Beers.
What’s a party without some special beers? We’ve put harvest and carnival themed twists on three of our favorite brews. All three are sessionable, all-day sippers – so plan to spend the afternoon!
- Harvest Hank’s on Cask (4.8% ABV, 40 IBU) – Our beloved dog Hank loved to be outside in the Fall. So we harvested 100% Chinook hops from here on the farm and wet-hopped his namesake beer to create this exclusive, cask-aged pale ale that still carries the signature mildly earthy, grassy taste of our traditional Hank’s.
- Oma’s Pumpkin Pie on Cask (4.9% ABV, 29 IBU) – Think you’ve seen pumpkin-spiced everything? Guess again! This subtle take on a popular seasonal approach to our Oma’s Tribute black lager takes pumpkin to a new level – mixing the official orange and black colors of Halloween into a harvest in a glass with notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice.
- Candied Heffenapple – (4.9% ABV, 13.5 IBU) – A grown-up take on the candy apple with notes of brown sugar, caramel, and apple cider, our Candied Heffenapple is a crisp, refreshing variation of our popular Hog Happy Hefeweizen wheat beer.
Carnival Food Specials. We don’t know all the magic that Chef Carrie has up her sleeve for this event yet, but she has confirmed there will be Corn Dogs! She’s making up a bunch of our housemade Hank-furters (100% local beef) dipped in Nitty Gritty cornmeal batter and served with mustard beer cheese. Check back for the rest of the Carnie delights!
Live Music. From 3-5pm, we’ll have local talent Jake Davis & The Whiskey Stones playing live on our outdoor stage. We’re excited to welcome their blend of sweet, salty, & soulful bluegrass to liven up our beer garden – and they may even show up in costume!
- Ring Toss – Get a ring on one of our bottles and win a prize – multiple rings = bigger prizes!
- Knock ‘Em Down – Knock down the jack o’lantern Throwback cans with our spooky ghost balls to win a prize.
- Feed the Pig – Make our Hog Happy and feed him some fruit! Throw apples in our cartoon Heff’s mouth and win a prize.
- Gone Fishin’ – Numbered ducks are swimming here at the farm. Scoop one up and the number on the bottom equals the size of the prize.

Seacoast Eat Local. Did you know that Seacoast Eat Local subsidizes the winter farmer’s markets here on the seacoast and supports our local farmers in many other, vital ways, as well? The Seacoast Eat Local Mobile Market (SAMM) will be on site for this event, raising awareness for the amazing behind-the-scenes work they do for our community year-round. In addition to our fundraising effort on their behalf, private donations are welcome and encouraged, as well!
