This past September, we decided to throw our hat in the ring for the Good Food Awards, which celebrate the kind of food we all want to eat: tasty, authentic, and responsibly produced. Winners are awarded in 15 categories, including beer. So we entered the competition (you know we love a good competition), and last Friday winners were announced. We were honored to hear that Love Me Long Time Pilsener was chosen for an award – out of more than 2,000 entries submitted to the competition! We think that calls for a party!

So, come on by this Sunday, January 28th 12-7 pm, as we throw a Pilsener Party, featuring British Pub style food specials all day, plus lots of Love Me Long Time Pilsener on tap. Why British Pub food? Well, we think the following British Pub foods pair really well with our pilsener, and, we love to use our pilsener in these recipes, too! Here’s a sneak peak at some of the specials:

Hobbs Farm Scotch Egg: Hard boiled egg encased in house-made local pork Italian sausage and then fried ’til a lovely brown. Served with our house pickles, toast points, and house mustard for your dipping pleasure! $14

Fish & Chips: Love Me Long Time-battered, locally caught Pollock, fried to perfection and served with French fries and a house-made dill pickle tarter sauce. $12

Bangers & Mash: House-made local pork sausage made with Love Me Long Time Pilsener, sage, leeks, and apples. Served on top of a pile of rich & creamy garlic mashed potatoes, topped off with our house-made Kellie Brook Farm gravy. $12

Our regular menu will also be available all day, and all ages are welcome, as always!

Here’s a bit more on the Awards and criteria for the winners. We are proud to be represented alongside so many exceptional recipients working to do good for consumers here in America.

“Granted to outstanding American food producers and the farmers who provide their ingredients, Good Food Awards recipients are those who push their industries towards craftsmanship and sustainability while enhancing our agricultural landscape and building strong communities. Awards are presented to producers from each of five regions of the U.S. The Good Food Awards Seal, found on winning products, assures consumers they have found something exceptionally delicious which also supports sustainability and social good.”
