Throwback Brewery

Get your funk on for a party featuring the funkiest of funk beers and of course, funk music on the speakers! We’ll be celebrating the funk with a limited bottle release of our Cuvée de la Hobbs Farm that’s been fermented with brettanomyces and barrel-aged for over a year (limit 2 per person)! We’ll be offering bottle pours of the Cuvée at the brewery that day, too. We’ll also have these fun and funky beers on tap:

  • Zwart Bos Bourbon Barrel-Aged Dark Lager (8.7% ABV) – This dark lager – aged in a Four Roses Bourbon Barrel – is a creamy, medium-bodied sipper with funky brett & roasty dark fruit aromas and flavors of chocolate, oak, roast, & mild brett funk. It finishes dry with some alcohol warmth and a big dark cherry / plum wine tang.
  • Gin Barrel-Fermented Soggy Donkey Brett White IPA (8.2% ABV) – Our Brett white IPA fermented in a gin barrel is a crystal clear straw colored beauty with aromas and flavors of of white wine, orange citrus, oak, and a balanced Brett funk. It’s bright, effervescent, and super refreshing.
  • Sour Mixed Fermentation Saison (6.4% ABV) – this clear, light golden-colored sour ale was fermented with saison yeast in a pinot noir barrel, and dry hopped with Sorachi Ace (a hop that is known for its pronounced dill and lemon flavors). The resulting moderately sour ale drinks light and effervescent like a champagne, but is bursting with flavors of dill, white grape, spicy herbs, and lemon pith, finishing with an oaky, earthy finish.
  • Boysenberry Dark Cuvée Barrel-Aged Imperial (9.8%) -a cuvée of a rum barrel-aged Imperial Porter with a Four Roses Bourbon barrel-aged Imperial Stout finished with boysenberries. It’s a big & boozy jet black beer with a soft and creamy mouthfeel and notes of dark chocolate, black coffee, bramble berry, oak, tobacco, and red wine.

Kitchen opens at noon. Beers flow starting at 11am all the way through until 9pm!

More about Cuvée de la Hobbs Farm
A special mixed fermentation golden ale that’s been brett-fermented and blended from two different barrels – one white wine and one gin. The result is a clear, straw-colored beauty with a funky, fruity, and pineapple aroma, made even better with flavors of white wine, tropical fruit, oak, and pineapple, followed by a slightly funky spiciness. (5.7%)
