Throwback Brewery
We’re kicking off 2020 with a new little music series called Third Thursday and we can’t wait for you to join us! Every third Thursday of the month we’ll feature a different music genre for our weekly gig – some with bands you know and some making their brewery debut! Kicking things off with a night of funk on January 23rd is local duo Quantum Steps!
Quantum Steps is a Guitar and Bass duo consisting of Chris Salemme and Mikey Lathwood. Both are members of the funk band Clandestine from the NH seacoast. They are avid funk musicians, but their musical taste includes various genres such as pop, rock, jazz, and hip hop. Lathwood, who is currently studying for his Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics at UNH, inspired their group’s name. Quantum physics is Lathwood’s specialty, and the name is a spin-off of Coltrane’s paramount composition, “Giant Steps.” Salemme is an active guitarist and drummer from the NH seacoast. Together, they provide a unique and lively musical experience.
