Testing the taps!
We have finished building our tasting room!!! Now we just need to get it approved by the appropriate state and local officials. For those of you that have been following our progress for a while now, you might know that we are pretty bad at estimating how long government processes take 😀 , but we think it is a good bet that we can get the necessary approvals by the second week in August.
I’d like to extend a HUGE thanks to my Dad, who has put in a tremendous amount of effort and love into hand crafting the bar in his workshop. The wood for the bar is recycled from a family lake house (in Enfield, NH) that got destroyed in a micro-burst a few years ago. The top of the bar is tiger maple, and that was donated from my Uncle Dave (father of Valley Malt owner Andrea).
By regulation, we need to have a dividers between 1- the brewery space and the tasting room and 2- the door from the outside and the tasting room. Annette and I were going to get some buckets with a bit of concrete and a rope, but my dad came up with something far classier (as you can see below)!
