Nothing quite says ‘let’s party on our 11th birthday’ like an 11% ABV barrel-aged beer 😁! Introducing Gin-Spiced Bourbon Barrel-Aged Wheat Wine, a beautiful amber-colored ale with flavors of caramel, raisin, and malty sweetness, underscored by notes of gin botanicals, woody oak, and sweet bourbon, finishing with a pleasant boozy warmth that coats your tongue. This beer is a real treat for anyone that loves big, barrel-aged beers with many layers of flavor!

The base for this beer was brewed in December 2020 and eventually released in September of 2021 at The Hammock District – our very first wheat wine*! We took this wheat wine and then aged it in a bourbon barrel that also was used to age gin. The result is something that we are super happy with, and we hope you are, too!

Gin-Spiced Bourbon Barrel-Aged Wheat Wine will be available on draft starting Saturday, July 2nd for our 11th birthday! It was also be available to go in Rare Breed bottles.

Celebrate our 11th birthday with an 11% ABV beer!

*For those of you not familiar with the style, wheat wines are very strong ales that are made with both wheat and barley. No wine or grapes were used in the process! Wheat Wines are probably closest in style to barleywines, which are high in alcohol and malty sweet. Wheat Wines are much lighter in color, though, and tend to drink softer with more fruity esters.
