Every August, NH Eats Local puts on a month-long celebration of local food. For 31 days, the NH Food Alliance and its partners connect Granite Staters directly to farmers, fishers, restaurants, food producers, markets and farm stands, co-ops and grocery stores, to rally around the bounty of our vibrant food system here in NH through the Live Free + Eat Local Challenge. We at Throwback are proud to be partners once again for 2024, and as purveyors of local food at our restaurant, farm fresh beer from our brewery, and Hobbs Farm produce at our farmstand, we think we hit the trifecta of local offerings for you to enter this challenge!

How can you get involved? Simply, eat local food! When you stop by here at Throwback, there is lots of farm-fresh food featured on our restaurant menu, including our farm-raised chicken, tomatoes, basil, kale, cucumbers, radishes, lettuce, and much more! Our beers all feature malt and from the Northeast Grainshed, and brews such as our Spicy Bohemian Jalapeño Pilsener and Red Party Pants Sour are brewed with farm ingredients. Our cocktails feature Hobbs Farm garnish, infusions, or syrups, and, of course, we sell produce for you to take home and enjoy from our farmstand. When you stop by and enjoy one (or all) of the four ways to embrace the local here at Throwback, you can enter the challenge using this entry form, and get ready to win fun prizes for doing what you already love.

In addition, we’ll be hosting a sweet raffle of NH Eats Local items (pictured here). These include: a Live Free, Eat Local canvas tote bag, No Farms No Beer tee shirt, some cool stickers, and a much-coveted, limited edition NH Brewers’ Association NH Pint Days glass. These glasses are sold annually around NH during NH Pint Days, and the design included in this raffle sold out almost instantly around the state this past year, so it is a collector’s item for sure! Tickets are free once you log your visit, look for the raffle jar by the taproom entrance!
