As the unofficial end of summer draws to a close this month, we find ourselves thinking about all we hoped to cram into these precious few warm and sunny months – and time is running out!

So we thought, let’s put together a week’s worth of activities that we’ve been wanting to do all summer – call it our Summer Bucket List – and invite all of you to join us!

Here is what we have planned so far:

Summer Bucket List: A Week of Sun-Kissed Fun!

Catch a Live Show – Outside!
Sun 8/203-5pm
We start off the week with a midday concert to make your Sunday Funday complete. Local favorites The Midnight Wrens will be playing in our beer garden. Don’t miss out!

Meet a Famous Surfer / Watch a Movie Outside
Sun 8/207-9pm We are beyond excited to have Cinnamon Rainbows and Quiksilver USA here at Throwback Brewery to host 2x World Surf Champion Tom Carroll. The event includes a 35-minute movie featuring some of Tom’s best performances followed by a Q&A session with one of Surfings All Time Greats! Bob McKnight of Quicksilver will host the event. Come enjoy some of our craft beer along with pizza from the Flatbread mobile oven. This is a free, all ages event, but for capacity reasons, you will need a ticket, which you can grab at Cinnamon Rainbows.

Go on a Growler Tour / Do Something Super Fun on a ‘School Night’
Mon 8/215:30pm-8:30 or 9(ish)
We get so many requests this time of year for brewery tours – we thought, we want to do that too! We’ve partnered with Granite State Growler tours to come up with a special tour at a very special price! In a nutshell, we will be leaving from Throwback Brewery at 5:30pm and heading to three Maine breweries – TributaryWoodland Farms, and SoMe. Given that we are such a charming group, Tributary and Woodland Farms agreed to open up just for us. There will be beer samples at all the breweries, beer trivia (with schwag give aways for trivia winners), pretzels from Granite State Growler tours, dinner (Mexican from Loco Cocos), and schmoozing with our founders and a few of our staff. This special tour is just $45 (note, growler tours are normally $60, so this is a 25% discount. PLUS, you are getting dinner!) – spots are limited. Get your tickets here.

Explore the Local Farm Scene
Wed 8/235-5:30pm
Experience summer on the farm with an exclusive tour led by our resident farmer Katie! This half hour tour will take you through our hop yard, out to see the pigs and chickens, through our growing fields, and ending with a Meet and Greet with our wonderfully friendly Nigerian Dwarf goats. We’ll sample some of nature’s bounty right from the farm (vine-ripe tomatoes anyone?). Beers and full menu will be available for purchase after as you soak in everything you just saw from our farm tour. Tickets $5 – get them here.

Sample New Summer Beer
Thurs 8/2411-9pm On Thursday, we’ll launch our much anticipated Bueno Grassias – our lemongrass and berry blonde ale. This year, we were lucky enough to brew this beer with blueberries from Brae Farm in Stratham, blackberries from Charlie Reid’s farm in Nottingham, and black raspberries & lemongrass from our very own Hobbs Farm! This beer screams hot summer nights, so it’s the perfect release for this week. Come and try it while enjoying live music in our beer garden from Jake Davis from 7-9pm.

As our super fun week comes to a close, we hope you’ll go experience something you are passionate about and then cap it off (or start it up) with a beer with us! After all, it will be time for Oktoberfests in a blink! Cheers!
