There’s something bittersweet about Sundays, isn’t there? It’s the last day of the weekend before the craziness of the work week begins once more — the last chance to relax and have time for yourself, friends, and family before being thrown back into your hectic schedules.
Here at Throwback, we love relaxing with a beer in the Brew House, savoring the last taste of the weekend. To take our relaxation up a notch, we decided to start offering yoga classes in our Brew House every other Sunday, beginning in April. The first class will be on April 3rd from 11am-12pm. After class, the pub will officially be open for food, so you can grab a drink and some lunch with friends if you so desire.
Each class will be $5 per person and, although we have a few yoga mats, we encourage you to bring your own.
Laurel Crawford, friend of Throwback Brewery, and experienced yoga instructor will be teaching the class. Laurel began practicing yoga in 1998. Since then, she has been teaching in the Seacoast area for over 15 years. To add to this accolade, she can boast over 500 hours of training in the traditional Ashtanga and Vinyasa styles of yoga. For our classes, Laurel will cater each class to make everyone feel welcome. So if you’re new to yoga or a seasoned yogi, you can count on this class being challenging yet comfortable.
When she’s not practicing or teaching yoga, Laurel works at an environmental consulting firm, frequently traveling around the country to help clean up the environment. In what spare time she has, she also plays flute for the Portsmouth Symphony Orchestra.
So come meet Laurel and start your Sunday off the right way – feeling relaxed, refreshed, balanced and well-fed!
Namaste.
NOTE – other class dates currently scheduled are: April 3, April 17, May 1, May 15, May 29, June 12, June 26. If classes are popular enough, we will begin holding them weekly. As always, check our event calendar for up to date event information – https://throwbackbrewery.com/news-events/calendar/.
