For the second year in a row now, we’ve bottle-fed, doted on, kissed, hugged, groomed, and whole-heartedly loved our six baby goats, and now they are almost ready to move on to their forever homes! If you are interested in adopting, please first read the goats’ profiles below, and then fill out this adoption form. If you’ve never owned a goat before, then please also read this PDF on proper goat care. Since goats are herd animals they absolutely need other goats for company. For this reason, we require new adopters to either own goats already, or to adopt a pair of goats. If we had our wishes come true, the kids would be adopted in pairs (Diva & Luna, Ronnie James & Ilsa, Stark & Sprout), and we’d give you a discount to show our love!

In terms of timing, the goats will be ready to go starting the last week of November/first week of December. Adoption fees vary (see below) and are used to cover the goats’ vet bills, food, and care.

For those of you wondering why we even have baby goats to adopt, here is why!… We first adopted our “Golden Goats” Blanche, Rose, and Dorothy over two years ago, with the plan of eventually milking them for special kitchen projects like making goat cheese. In order to milk the goats, we had to first get the goats pregnant. Some of you might remember a stinky, but lovable male goat we called Bucky hanging around for a few months at a time the past few years. Well, Bucky did his job well (for the second year in a row!), and we ended up with two babies being birthed by Rose, two by Dorothy, and two by Blanche. As a result, Chef Carrie is now making fresh ricotta-style goat cheese to serve here in our pub, and, we also now have six goat babies ready to go home to new families!
