Throwback Brewery
NH Craft Beer Week begins Thursday, April 3rd, and we are going to kick it off with a weeklong celebration of the almighty lager! Highlights include the release of a brand new, 100% locally sourced beer called Hometown Helles, the 100th batch of our Love Me For A Long Time pilsener, the return of Breakfast with Oma (Black Lager with Local Coffee), our new Tanuki’s Drum Rice Lager, AND, we are also digging into our cellars to tap the last log of one of our highest rated beers ever – Annette and Nicole’s Excellent Adventure – a 9.2% ABV Manhattan Barrel-Aged Dopplebock!
And what would NH Craft Beer week be without the latest NH Pint Days collectible glass? This year’s theme, “Social Creatures,” comes to life through the incredible artwork of Shane Buzzell @craftybearddesign. If you order one of our lagers on tap, you can add on one of these must-have glasses for $5. Or, purchase a glass separately for $10. $1 from every glass purchased goes to support the NH Brewers’ Association. Last year we FLEW through the glasses, so come on by and get one before they are gone!
Here are a few notes on Hometown Helles (5.2% ABV), a traditional German-style beer that pays tribute to the amazing work being done by our friends and neighbors who grow and produce our top notch craft ingredients. This deep golden lager is crafted with New England grown, floor-malted barley from Valley Malt (Holyoke, MA) and Blue Ox Malt (Lisbon Falls, ME) – both of which provide a backbone of honey-covered biscuits and pie crust, balanced by a light bitterness and subtle notes of grapefruit and herbal tea from locally-grown Crystal hops from Four Star Farms (Northfield, MA). The result? A well-balanced, easy-drinking lager that allows you explore the flavors of our local terroir. We feel lucky to have access to these amazing ingredients and are thrilled with the final result of this beer!
Hope to see you during NH Craft Beer week for our Lager Love Celebration – Thursday, April 3rd through Sunday, April 7th.
