If you are on the lookout for gifts for your friends and loved ones, you’ve come to the right place! Below we have assembled our top 10 favorite gifts. We have a little bit of something for everyone- the beer lover, the lover of local, the foodie, the sausage aficionado, and more! Read on for all the details!

1. For Your Favorite Beer Aficionado
We’ve assembled three of our Rare Breed beers (representing the very best beers from our barrel program) into a beautiful gift box sure to impress the beer connoisseur in your life! The box is $30 and includes:
B’Autumns Up: our 2020 Gourdgeous Pumpkin Ale aged for ~1 year in an Apple Brandy barrel.
Port Barrel-Aged Black Ale with Raspberries: smells and tastes like chocolate dipped raspberries!
Brevis and Bretthead – a funky barrel-fermented farmhouse ale enhanced with a plethora of different yeasts and fruits (including pineapple, mango, peach, and apricot).

2. For the Foodie and Sausage Lover
Give your foodie friends and family the equivalent of ‘hogs and kisses’ with our Lady Sausage subscription (“saus-cription”)! Once a month, from January through March, we will package up one selection from each of the following categories:
– Time-Tested Recipes– our most popular sausages that many of you have come to know and love.
– From The Test Kitchen – brand new, small batch sausages – each with a culinary twist.
– Going to Salami – one of our cured meats – perfect for snacking, charcuterie boards, and more!

You can buy a one-month package for $35.99, or, save by buying three months for just $99! Saus-criptions include recipe ideas, cooking instructions, and more than a few sausage puns. 🙂  You can find details on the specific sausages we are planning to make and how to buy here.

3. For Your Favorite Beer Nerd / Metal Head / Lover of Special Dark Beers
For over 10 years, we’ve been running a dark beer series called Unafraid of the Dark, which is all about brand new, small batch dark beers. Buying into the series ensures that you can take home all three beers as soon as they are released, and you will get a discount, as well. The beers in the 2022 series include Belgian Stout with Currants, Imperial Stout with Caramelized Local Miso, and a Tropical Stout with Coconut and Tropical Hops. For the first time ever, we will be canning the Unafraid of the Dark beers AND releasing a metal-inspired long sleeve t-shirt. For more information, including mockups of the t-shirt and how to buy into the series, click here. Don’t delay, these are selling fast!

4. For Those Who Love All Things Local
Our ‘Taste the Local’ NH Gift Boxes are just the right host gift, holiday gift, or ‘me’ gift for lovers of supporting local. This gift box features products from six NH small businesses, with goodies for everyone from kids to dogs to foodies and in between, including Habanero Hot Sauce from The Spicy Shark in Portsmouth, a Soy Candle in Holiday Greenery, Lemon Verbena, or Maple Sugar from Sweetgrass Farm in Greenland, a BIG Carob-Dipped Dog Bone Treat from Barkin’ Biscuits in Bedford, Local Honey from Chisholm Farm in Hampstead, a 1/2 lb Box of Chocolate Fudge from Huckleberry Candies in Hampton, and a large Maple Porter Beer Mustard from Hobbs Farm (us!). The cost of this gift box is $48 and can be purchased either here at the brewery or ordered on biermi.

5. For Fans of Fresh, Locally Grown Produce
Support our farm and feed your friends at the same time! We’re switching things up a bit for 2022…rather than offering a traditional produce CSA, we are selling Farm Bucks, good at our Hobbs Farm Stand from June-October 2022. Our Farm Bucks gift set includes $110 worth of bucks for $100, packaged in this year’s NH Brewer’s Association Pint Glass, ready for giving. All produce for the stand is grown right here at Hobbs Farm, where we adhere to the principles of organic farming – we do not use any synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides, and we endeavor to use growing practices that are sustainable. Support local agriculture by purchasing Farm Bucks here. Note: Farm Bucks are only good for produce, of which we are proud to grow a veritable bounty, featuring many different varieties of staple, exotic, and heirloom fruits and vegetables!

6. For the Philanthropist
This year we donated over $850 of fresh food grown right here at Hobbs Farm to local food banks, including Waysmeet in Durham, We Care Food Pantry in Milton, The Movement Family in Lawrence, and Newmarket Community Church. This was by far one of the most rewarding experiences of 2021 for our team. We were able to donate over 430 lbs of food (tomatoes, cukes, sweet peppers, beans, squash, etc.) thanks in part to donations from a handful of our very supportive, philanthropic customers. For 2022, our goal is to give over $1k of freshly grown produce to local food banks, including the ones listed above, plus New Generation – a shelter and support for mothers and children experiencing homelessness. We will need your help once again for us to meet this new goal. If you give a donation to our Food Bank Program, we will send you (or a person of your choosing) a thank you card signed by our farmers noting the donation and that 100% of the donation will go towards providing freshly grown produce to the charities mentioned above. To donate click here. Our team and the charities above will thank you!

7. For the Comparison Seekers and Oddballs Who You Love Anyway
Give them something to talk about – other than you – with a vertical of our Fat Alberta Chocolate Peanut Butter Russian Imperial Stout, celebrating the odd years of production. This set includes a 375mL bottle of Fat Alberta 2017 (10% ABV), a 16oz can of Fat Alberta 2019 (~10% ABV), and a 16oz can of this year’s 2021 version (11% ABV) in a gift box for $32. The boozy warmth and peanut butter cup goodness of these beers side by side will be sure to silence the toughest critic! Oh, and the 2o21 version of Fat Alberta goes on sale Saturday, December 11th, but you can put in your pre-order now via biermi!

8. For the Hat Lover
We’ve got hats galore this season, with a style for everyone on your list. Choose from our new flat-brim wool logo hat, a brand new sunrise logo trucker, sleek black Throwback logo trucker, Lady Sausage logo trucker, or knit patch logo beanie. Hats range from $20-$25, well-priced so you can grab more than one. Head over here during our open hours to also check out our selection of hoodies, tees, and more to round out your gift giving needs.

9. For the Stockings That Need Stuffing
Need a little something for a colleague at work, or to bring to a holiday party, or to stuff some stockings? Check out our packaged offerings from our talented culinary team, sold here at Throwback Brewery. We have jars of our popular apple butter, grape jelly, and beer mustard, as well as hand-crafted wood bottle openers, plenty of glassware options, hop socks, and more.

We also sell gift certificates that can be purchased online, or here during our open hours. Gift Certificates are good for food and drink in our pub, to-go cans or growlers, Lady Sausage merchandise and sausage, and our high quality Throwback merchandise.

10. For the Farm-Fresh Beer Seeker
Finally, we have a plethora of freshly canned beer, from dark to light, sour to barrel-aged, crisp to hoppy, including our brand new House IPA Rule the Roost, a hazy IPA featuring flavors and aromas of sweet citrus, melon, and bright lemon, with a grassy and dank finish. Pick up a 4 pack for your favorite someone and perhaps a cute glass for a fun gift package.
